Increase performance by 20-30%

This post isn’t my typical material but it’s something I am a stickler about with all my players.  Water, water, and more water.  Every coach and parent tells their kids to drink more water but very few institute a system to actually encourage hydration.

Did you know that you are suppose to drink 7-10 ounces of water every 10-20 minutes during exercise? If you are working hard, you need to hydrate.  Line up at the water cooler and make them go through one by one until everyone has had their fill.

My college athletic trainer told me that my that hydrating can increase performance by 20-30%.  It not only helps you perform at a higher level for longer, but it helps your brain concentrate and stay focused on the task at hand.
